Sponge Blasting:

Sponge blasting is a new technology in restoration services. It restores hard, porous surfaces such as brick, concrete metal, concrete blocks, tile, steel and siding materials that have been exposed to smoke or water.

Sponge blasting is used to profile the surface and absorb the particulate (i.e. smoke), thus restoring the surface to its pre-existing condition. Prior to this technology, replacement or sand blasting would have been required. Unlike sponge blasting, these methods are expensive and corrosive.

Sponge blasting has given France & Co. the edge in providing the restoration of all kinds of surfaces, many of which would have required replacement.

Desiccant Drying Technology:

Desiccant Drying Technology has grown by leaps and bounds. Exposure from flood damage recovery had placed quality restoration companies in a position of stepping back and re-evaluating equipment.

The 1125 CFM gas fired desiccant dehumidifier has taken that challenge and become one of the front runners in answering the need for quality control of homes and businesses that have been compromised by water.

In this day and age, homes are being constructed with more square footage and personal contents are being purchased by homeowners that need to be protected during the dry out process. This unit solves that problem by controlling the ambient air, which is laden with high concentrations of relative humidity (RH) and creating a vapor barrier which also preserves areas that are not affected.

The unit was originally constructed for commercial use. Modifications now allow the unit to be operated on house hold current. Thus giving a quality restoration company the ability to handle any situation small or large.

Titanium chloride impregnated wheels have been installed to enhance not only moisture removal, but also to prevent environmental hazards such as mold and mildew during the dry out procedure. This has become a high priority for the new quality restoration companies. France & Company owns and has access to both small and large Desiccant units as the size of the job may dictate.
